Happy Saturday! I just thought I'd take a moment to share the beautiful birthday present I received by an amazing person yesterday. I love it so much and have it in my room to always remind me to be happy and bring happiness and joy to others, hence the bluebird symbolism.(:
"...Life is bliss, taste it..." - Mother Teresa Today, all I could think about is how blessed I am with beautiful friendships and how blissful my Summer has been so far because of them... I am grateful beyond words. Creating so many lovely memories in just the simple things... Laughing at each other's silliness, smiling just because we're in each other's presence, not even having to speak enjoying every minute of silence together. No matter how bad a day I am having, they are always there to cheer me up. Or to just listen and share with me their wisdom. Most importantly, they want me to get to Heaven, always encouraging and inspiring me and leading me to God. I hope I can be just as good a friend in return...
With the craziness of life it's easy to forget how blissful life really is. Simply love those God has put in your life. They're there for a reason.
My life is truly total bliss! God is so good.:)
Find the bliss in your life.

I'm sitting outside the village library editing my film project and I thought I'd take a moment to share this darling photo and say, "HELLO SPRING!" It's just too nice out to work inside. In Michigan Spring never really arrives on time... It's probably snowed at least a few times since Spring's official arrival on March 20th. However, I think this is really it! Let's hope.
Have a beautiful day! :) Con amore in Cristo, Bluebird

Back in late October, I stepped through the Pregnancy Help Clinic doors for the first time. I had always known of them but was interested in becoming more involved and working with them on media/communication projects. I received a warm welcome by all the volunteers and a full tour of the beautiful building. It was an amazing experience. Now, I try to volunteer there as a receptionist once a week, and I am also the director for their upcoming Educational Video. (which will be released to the public next month). Every time I am there, I am blown away by the amount of loving support that is overflowing inside! Pregnancy Help Clinic really does provide women with real help and options.
I believe Pregnancy Help Clinic is truly pivotal in our community, and its worth is immeasurable!

I have a handful of new posts sitting in my draft box, waiting to be finished, but I couldn't put off writing about this beautiful song. The other day, my best friend told me about a Christian song which is based off 1 Corinthians 1-13. I was skeptical at first, because I have fairly picky standards for Christian songs. As soon as I got home, I watched the music video she sent me. I was close to tears as I watched in the early hours of the morning. I was not expecting such a powerful message along with a great melody! It is something I have been thinking much about lately, and one of the reasons I wanted to start this blog. So, I decided the song was too good not to share! Excited to hear it yet? (:
"If I speak with human eloquence, and angelic ecstasy, but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's word with power, revealing all of His mysteries and making everything as plain as day, and if I have faith to say to a mountain, 'jump' and it jumps, but I don't love, I am nothing. If I give all I earn to the poor, or even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten no where. So, no matter what I say, no matter what I believe, no matter what I do, I am bankrupt without love."
Pretty influential, huh? It's something to think about!
Blessed Mother Teresa also has much to say about this topic:
"It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving. We can do no great things; only small things with great love. There is a terrible hunger for love. We all experience that in our lives – the pain, the loneliness. We must have the courage to recognize it. The poor you may have right in your own family. Find them. Love them."
“The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty -- it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There's a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God.” - Blessed Mother Teresa
There is, without a doubt, a hunger for love in our culture today. It is a very serious epidemic that has a devastating affect on each and every one of us. Of course, from the first moment of the original sin, our love has never been what it was meant to be, however, it has gotten worse and worse as the world continues to grow in darkness. We have an important duty, as soldiers of Christ, to love everyone, in every little thing we do and say, and in every situation. Yet, it can be quite intimidating to have this duty of being the proof of Christ's love in the world. Our new papa, Pope Francis, courageously exclaimed,"We must not be afraid of goodness, of tenderness!" So let's get out there and not be afraid to love others with God's love. I'll try if you do! (:
The Proof Of Your Love by For King & Country Lyrics:
If I sing but don't have love I waste my breath with every song I bring an empty voice, a hollow noise If I speak with a silver tongue Convince a crowd but don't have love I leave a bitter taste with every word I say
So let my life be the proof, The proof of Your love Let my love look like You and what You're made of How You lived, how You died Love is sacrifice So let my life be the proof, The proof of Your love
If I give To a needy soul but don't have love then who is poor? It seems all the poverty is found in me
So let my life be the proof, The proof of Your love Let my love look like You and what You're made of How You lived, how You died Love is sacrifice Oh, let my life be the proof, The proof of Your love
When it's all said and done When we sing our final song Only love remains Only love remains Let my life be the proof, The proof of Your love Let my love look like You and what You're made of How You lived, how You died Love is sacrifice So let my life be the proof, The proof of Your love.
I plan on writing more about this topic; there's so much to say... But for now, I hope you all love this song as much as I do, and share it with others! Happy Feast Day of Saint Joseph!
On Monday, March 11th, in the
late afternoon, one of my closest
friends and I set out to pray at Planned Parenthood as part of the 40 Days For
Life Campaign(Link:40 Days for Life). It was a rainy,
cold, windy day, but God was definitely on our side!
Toward the end of our rosary, a struggling, older man cametrudging through the rain
along side the road, passed by us,
and I turned my head to look at him. He took a moment to thank us for what we
were doing,
"Thank you for doing
this, God bless you, thank you, you're out here not even wearing a hat! God
bless you."
Encouraging us with an enthusiastic smile, warming my
heart in the cold rain. I thanked him,
and we continued to pray. Through the rest of the hour, we received a
good number of honks, because of theheavy
traffic. We were still there as he silently passed us again, headed back the
way he came.
At home later
that day,I stumbled upon this quote by Blessed Mother Teresa and began to
ponder about the earlier encounter. Although this man has had a difficult life, he has a soft heart and
was willing to stopandexpress kindness before carryingon his way.
I am convinced his kind words will echo endlessly in my heart, whether or not I rememberthat moment as time goes on. And, I am convinced thatall those who
witnessed my friend and I, have in some way been touched as well; producing
more and more echoes.
I am always reminded of the
truth of this quote, so I do plan on writing on it again, until then, I will leave
you with this:
If you wish to say something sweet to someone, encourage them, or
any other act of kindness (especially
when it is least expected),do it! It may seem small and of little
importance at thetime, but Blessed Mother Teresa is spot on, the
echoes produced will truly carry on...
